Mayor R.T. Rybak is preparing to hold two community forums on his plan to fund a new Vikings stadium next week, just as Council opponents gear up to hold hearings of their own.
The mayor's spokesman, John Stiles, said they finalized the dates of the two forums on Monday. They are:
Tuesday, April 10
7:30-8:45 p.m.
Lake Nokomis Community Center
2401 E. Minnehaha Pkwy.
Wednesday, April 11
6:30-8:00 p.m.
Logan Recreation Center
690 13th Ave. NE
Rybak is also giving his annual State of the City address on Wednesday at the Capri Theater in north Minneapolis.
Opponents of the mayor's plan, who announced their intentions Friday to hold public hearings, have not yet determined when they will take place.
