Tampa Bay appears to be in no real hurry to replace fired coach Raheem Morris. And according to ex-Vikings coach Brad Childress -- who interviewed for the job on Jan. 9 -- that's just fine. He told JoeBucsFan.com that the Glazer family advised him the search could last a while.
Childress also sounded as though he remains interested in the gig, per this quote:
"There [are] only 32 head coaching jobs in the National Football League. I have always said it’s important to work with good people. All indications are the Glazers are great folks, so it’s a good job."
Remember, the Vikings are still on the hook for the final year of Childress' contract in 2012, but anything he made from a new job would be subtracted from what the Vikings owe him.
