Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears will team up May 17 at the State Theatre… Rick Springfield will rock the Guthrie on April 18.
While Billie Joe Armstrong has exited the cast of “American Idiot” on Broadway, “American Idol” first-season runnerup Justin Guarini and AFI frontman Davy Havoc have joined the cast.
Journey's "Eclipse" happens on May 24....Emmylou Harris’ “Hard Bargain,” out April 26, will feature 11 originals, including “Darlin’ Kate” about Kate McGarrigle and “The Road” about Gram Parsons…. Okkervil River’s “I Am Very Far” drops on May 10 and they perform at First Avenue on June 12.
Halestorm’s “Reanimate the Covers EP,” due March 22, will feature interpretations of tunes by the Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, Heart, Skid Row, Temple of the Dogs and Lady Gaga… Black Stone Cherry’s “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” is set for May 31.
