Teams: Team (Jerry) Rice vs. Team (Michael) Irvin. It is the third consecutive year for this "unconferenced" format. QBs Russell Wilson and Eli Manning were the first two picks of Wednesday's draft.
Vikings reps: The Vikings have five players in the game, their highest total since 2012, when they had seven. Only RB Adrian Peterson was among the initial selections to the Pro Bowl. Peterson is on Team Rice, along with DE Everson Griffen. QB Teddy Bridgewater, LB Anthony Barr and S Harrison Smith will play for Team Irvin. All but Peterson are appearing in the game for the first time.
Coaches: Andy Reid, Kansas City (Team Rice); Winston Moss, Green Bay (Team Irvin). Moss is filling in for Mike McCarthy, who was advised by doctors not to travel because of a stomach illness.
Mix and match: A record 33 original Pro Bowl selections won't appear in the game. Fourteen of them are in the Super Bowl, while the remaining 22 have opted out because of injuries and/or personal reasons. Carolina had a league-high 10 Pro Bowl selections.
L.A.'s own: The St. Louis, make that Los Angeles, Rams will have three players in the game.
The quote: "After this game, there's no more — my NFL career is over — so we wanted to come out, enjoy Hawaii and then hopefully ride off into the sunset." — Oakland defensive back Charles Woodson, who is retiring after 18 seasons.
