Voices of Conservative Women, a Minnesota group, made its first 2010 endorsements Wednesday -- eight women, all Republicans, for legislative offices.

"These women leaders understand that people provide the best solutions; not a larger, intrusive government," said Jennifer DeJournett, the group's director. The group said the eight candidates were "firm supporters of fiscal responsibility, limited government and free market principles."

Those endorsed by the group were: Michelle Benson, Senate District 49, Norann Dillon, Senate District 43, Karin Housley, Senate District 57; Diane Anderson, House District 38A, Mary Franson, House District 11B, Kathy Lohmer, House District 56A, Pam Myhra, House District 40A, Sanu Patel-Zellinger, House District 40B.
