MILWAUKEE -- The Twins haven't been swept by the Brewers since 1996. Today, they'll send struggling righthander Nick Blackburn to the mound, opposite Brewers ace Yovani Gallardo.

Waiting for the Twins lineup, but will post it after getting back from the clubhouse.

Update: Joe Mauer is not in the lineup with a day game after a night game, but he's a candidate to pinch hit at some point.

Update: After going 15-8 in April and 16-12 in May, the Twins are 9-11 in June.

"This is a long season and we're just trying to grind it out," Manager Ron Gardenhire said Wednesday night. "You're going to go through stretches where you play really good, you're going to go through stretches where you play bad.

"We're playing really good baseball teams right now. Milwaukee started playing better before we saw them. The Mets are playing great baseball. Philadelphia went through and beat the Yankees. You're facing good teams. At home we faced Colorado, Atlanta -- it's tough to just run over these people.

"We've got a few people beat up and hurt. No excuses, but it's a tough part of the schedule, you've just got to keep grinding it out. We're going to try not to get too high or too low -- that's what our goal is."

Update: Delmon Young now ranks second on the team with 47 RBI, two behind Justin Morneau. Asked if he's considered moving Young up in the lineup, Gardenhire said, "When you've got a guy who's got almost 50 RBI in the seventh spot, that means he's coming up with chances to knock in runs, so why move him out of there?

"We had that argument with A.J. Pierzynksi, way back when he was batting eighth. A.J. came in in tons of spots to drive in runs. It doesn't make a lot of sense to start moving guys unless the lineup's not producing up and down, and I think we're doing OK, we're scoring runs."
