Rare treat for the fans today. Milwaukee didn't take batting practice, so the Twins pushed theirs back. That's more time for the fans to watch the home team get their swings in.

Orlando Hudson is good at bouncing back. His elbow felt much better today, so he's back in the starting lineup.

J.J. Hardy had a good workout today. He took two rounds of batting practice in the cage at 100 percent. He said his left wrist was sore, but not that much.

Hardy will come in on Monday, during the scheduled off day, for more work on the wrist. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said that if Hardy looks good during early batting practice on Tuesday, he could be activated in time for the game against the Yankees.

Denard Span is getting killed for his premature home run celebration yesterday. Delmon Young called it, ``The Statue of Liberty."

Both J.C., and I were told yesterday that the Twins would probably call the Astros to see what the price for Roy Oswalt would be. That doesn't mean anything is brewing. Houston will look for a lot in return - although history shows that the more a club takes on in salary the less it gives up in talent.

I would imagine several teams would be interested in a pitcher like Oswalt. It would say a lot about the Twins if they beat out teams to land him. Making the best offer to deal for Oswalt is totally different than waiting for the market to come back to them on Orlando Hudson or signing Jim Thome to a very workable deal.
