A few weeks ago, Gov. Tim Pawlenty received much attention (and this blog received 420 comments) when he said he would join the Republican effort to use the courts to overturn the federal health care legislation.
The governor said Monday that legal action is still on its way -- but not yet.
"We are working on that...and expect to have some formal announcement about how, and the nature of our participation, in the next couple of weeks," Pawlenty said. "We'll probably join one of the existing efforts."
It took Attorney General Lori Swanson, a Democrat, two weeks to consider his request that she sue over the law and rebuff it.
Pawlenty said two weeks ago, he would file a legal action or join an existing one. A federal judge said one of the suits, joined by at least 18 states, would move on the fast track but could still take months to conclude.
