With the NFL Draft fast approaching, the Vikings will continue their evaluation process this week when they host their Top 30 prospect meetings at Winter Park on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Vikings will host a dinner and another round of interviews with the draft prospects. Vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman said the Top 30 visit is important because it allows the team to answer any lingering questions about a prospect whether it's medical, character or something football related.

It also gives the coaching staff another chance to visit with the prospects to make sure they would be a good fit for the Vikings.

The team tries to keep the list of players who are visiting close to the vest but some of the names have leaked out in recent weeks. We're in a process of trying to put together as many names that we know are visiting and hopefully we'll post that at some point today.

By the way, curious about your reaction to the Donovan McNabb trade to Washington on Sunday night. I'm still surprised that the Eagles were willing to trade him to a division rival. I can't imagine that is sitting very well with Eagles fans right now.

I texted with former Vikings offensive lineman Artis Hicks, who signed with Washington as a free agent, after the trade and needless to say he is ecstatic about having McNabb as his quarterback.
