Kevin Slowey and Nick Blackburn each pitched well Monday in celebration of the not one, but four different types of Schweigert hot dogs that Target Field will offer this season.

Okay, maybe Blackburn was celebrating his spankin' new contract. Regardless, the pair of right-handers tossed three solid innings a piece to help the Minnesota Twins shut out the Baltimore Orioles with a 5-0 victory. While they each allowed just one hit, a walk and two strikeouts, Slowey showed off his healthy wrist by retiring the final nine hitters he faced.

Bringing their spring ball record to 3-3, Twins pitchers received some run support early on from the bats of Ben Revere, Michael Cuddyer and Jason Kubel. Revere went 3-5 with a single, double, triple and two runs scored, Cuddy was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Luke Hughes put a couple hits on the board with his 2-for-4 day.

Now for the very important hot dog news: Schweigert will be producing the Original Twins Dog, made with the same recipe as the ones once served at Metropolitan Stadium. But that's not all. The Minnesota-based company will also be providing an all-beef dog called the Twins Big Dog (formerly known as the Dome Dog,) the Dugout Dog, which you can order from your seat, and an extra-long Dinger Dog, made with pork and beef. Delicious.

Even though you'll never have a chance to be a wiener winner again, the Twins will continue to offer everyone's favorite Dollar-A-Dog Days. During every Monday home game with the exception of Opening Day, you can enjoy an Original Twins Dog for just $1. You can even eat two if you want, but that's where they draw the line.

Back to baseball. So, if you can't seem to get enough of Ben Revere, here's an interview with Off the Field Sports, in which the young outfielder ponders beating Rickey Henderson's stolen base record, wishes he drove a pick up truck, and hopes to be the next Torii Hunter or Kirby Puckett...

Interesting. The St. Louis Cardinals will head to Hammond Stadium at 12:05 Tuesday, when Carl Pavano faces Adam Wainwright in the righty's second spring start.
