I promised the same content here, at the new home for this blog, so it's probably fitting that I'd resume with another look at the Twins' 2010 payroll projection.

The Twins settled all eight of their arbitration cases this week, so we have some pretty firm numbers now. The only estimates below are for players with between 0-3 years of major league service, and those salaries will be at or slightly above the major league minimum, of $400,000.

As I've been saying, this is not my suggestion for the Twins' Opening Day roster. This is more of an educated guess to help track the payroll number. Remember, the Twins opened 2009 with a payroll of $65.3 million, and their 2010 projection continues to hover at $90 million.

RHP Clay Condrey ($900,000) has been added since we last did this, so I'm now projecting the team breaks camp with a 12-man pitching staff, including seven relievers.

I still have Francisco Liriano in the rotation, but I think there's a good chance he gets moved to the bullpen, with Brian Duensing or Glen Perkins getting the No. 5 spot. And yes, that would mean someone else has to go. Usually those things take care of themselves with injuries, etc., but I there is a chance the Twins will trade a pitcher or two before the end of spring training.
