Pouliot-Latendresse feature; Other thingamajigs

Good morning. I'll blog again at the morning skates, but honestly, I've got an hour 'til the St. Louis skate and in order to keep from going to sleep for the rest of the day, I figured I'd blog.

Although, I've really got nothing to say.

Meant to toss this on the blog last night, but here's a good TSN feature on the Latendresse-Pouliot deal -- one that so far's worked out for both teams. Only thing I'd disagree with in the article was Pouliot wasn't battling through a wrist injury and that's why he was limited to two goals and two assists in Minnesota. He injured his wrist in the last game he played -- at Washington off a faceoff.

Of course, like Latendresse in Montreal, his numbers this year may largely be attributed to his ice time, role and linemates. These are two young guys who needed fresh starts and clean slates, and hopefully the acquisition continues to work out for both.

Also, forgot to put this on blog last night, and I feel badly because I asked PR guru Ryan Stanzel to do the legwork and look this up for me and then I forgot to even use it. The last time the Sedin Twins both played in a game against the Wild and didn't get a point was March 28, 2008.

If the Wild wins tonight, it'll match its season-long win streak (cinco). Good number in the advance box though: Eight times in history the Wild's ended a second of a back-to-back in this wonderful city, and it's got no regulation wins and one shootout win in those games.

I can't wait to find out Alain Vigneault's reaction today to Derek Boogaard's assertion that he sent Hordichuk and Bolduc on to fight. Little coincidental that the fights happened 17 seconds apart.

OK, I'll be back after the skates. If you were coach Todd Richards, you're riding a four-game win streak. You're two points from eighth. Do you come back with Josh Harding or do you return with Niklas Backstrom?
