Greetings.

Today is the first day that eligible athletes can sign agreements with schools, making them eligible to enroll for the spring semester and, at the same time, ensure they can take part in spring practice.

As has been reported in the blog before, the Gophers will be getting some well-regarded players. They include:

--Florida wide receiver James Green, a four-star player who committed to Tennessee last year before having his test score flagged. Having already signed a letter of intent, he can sign a scholarship agreement and enroll in January.

--Florida high school cornerback Tyrone Bouie, who has graduated early and is ready to enroll at the U. He can't sign his letter of intent until February, but he can sign a scholarship agreement that will allow him to enroll at the U for spring semester.

--Junior college cornerback Christyn Lewis, who has graduated from his junior college and can enroll for the spring semester.

--Junior college tight end Tiree Eure, also a December grad who can enroll here in January.

Eure's teammate, safety Herschel Thornton -- a second team junior college all-American -- will graduate from junior college this spring. So he will sign his letter of intent in February and can join the Gophers for training camp.
