The Vikings' 30-17 loss at Arizona on Sunday night might have been rather ugly, but that didn't stop many in the Twin Cities from watching the game.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul market generated a 46.1 rating and 63 share for NBC affiliate KARE (Ch. 11), putting the Twin Cities atop the metered markets that are used to compile overnight ratings. Phoenix had a 31.7 rating and 46 share and Milwaukee had a 23.8 rating and 35 share to finish No. 3. That rating might have had something to do with the fact a few Packers fans wanted to see how Brett Favre is doing these days.

Overall, the game fired a 13.7 overnight rating and 21 share, making it the fourth-highest overnight rating of the season for a Sunday night contest on NBC. The rating is up 23 percent from last year's Week 13 game in which the VIkings defeated the Chicago Bears, 34-14.

According to a news release from NBC, its prime-time game was the No. 1 broadcast on Sunday night for the 11th time in 12 weeks. The game beat several programs and out-rated "Desperate Housewives" on ABC by 71 percent.
