One person was killed in a fiery crash involving five cars Saturday evening at a Brooklyn Center intersection, the State Patrol said.

Authorities said the chain-reaction crash, reported at 6:17 p.m., at the intersection of Hwy. 252 and 66th Avenue N., was alcohol-related but no arrests had yet been made. The crash is believed to have happened when a car rear-ended a vehicle, authorities said.

The victim is believed to be a male, but a state trooper said the body was so burned that they were withholding more information until they could confirm the person's identity.

One person was injured in the crash and taken to an area hospital. No other details were available.
