Three open houses regarding a study of the Rush Line Corridor are scheduled for next week in Hugo, St. Paul and Maplewood.

The Rush Line Corridor is a transportation corridor extending 80 miles from Hinckley to St. Paul's Union Depot. A pre-development study is underway to analyze bus and rail transit alternatives between Forest Lake and St. Paul. The study seeks to come up with one preferred mode of transportation and one preferred alignment for the corridor.

Open houses are scheduled on Tuesday, January 13 at Hugo City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Av. N., Hugo, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Duluth and Case Recreation Center, 1020 Duluth St., St. Paul, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Maplewood Community Center, 2100 White Bear Av., Maplewood, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

An update on the study's progress and schedule will be presented. Attendees will be able to review maps, consider route options, explore vehicle types, identify possible station locations, meet with technical and policy representatives and provide formal comments.
