2014 State Fair attendance

The fair's all-time biggest day was the second Sunday in 2013, when 236,197 people packed the fairgrounds. Here are attendance numbers, day by day:

Day 1 (Aug. 21): 94,256 this year, compared with 106,852 for 2013's first day and 103,738 in 2012. The record first-day attendance was 119,145 in 2010.

Day 2 (Aug. 22): 118,606 this year, compared with 121,941 for 2013's second day and 117,040 in 2012. The record second-day attendance was 132,738 in 2010.

Day 3 (Aug. 23): 178,498 this year, compared with 170,986 for 2013's third day and 152,646 in 2012. The record third-day attendance was 202,126 in 1998.

Day 4 (Aug. 24): 164,192 this year, compared with 145,706 for 2013's fourth day and 185,485 in 2012. The record fourth-day attendance was 209,969 in 1994.

Day 5 (Monday): 137,813 this year, compared with 102,935 for 2013's fifth day and 133,781 in 2012. The record fifth-day attendance was 143,998 in 1994.

Day 6 (Tuesday): 133,595 this year, which set a record for sixth-day attendance. That compares with a sixth-day attendance of 94,076 last year and 121,097 in 2012.

Day 7 (Wednesday): 125,816 this year, compared with 116,348 for 2013's seventh day and 118,193 in 2012. The record seventh-day attendance was 128,966 in 2006.

Day 8 (Thursday): 118,047 this year, compared with 117,480 for 2013's eighth day and 101,379 in 2012. The record eighth-day attendance was 155,183 in 1995.

Day 9 (Friday): 145,026 this year, compared with 158,164 for 2013's ninth day and 164,694 in 2012. The record ninth-day attendance was 179,052 in 2003.
