A pedestrian was killed after being hit by two cars in Mille Lacs County on Friday night.
The State Patrol said Linda Pettner, 57, of Garrison, died just before 9 p.m. Friday after being struck in the northbound lane of Hwy. 169 about four miles south of Garrison. She was struck by a vehicle driven by Kimberly Johnson, 29, of Minneapolis, and another vehicle driven by Larry Wellnitz, 70, of Milbank, S.D. The drivers and three passengers were not injured.
According to the State Patrol, alcohol was detected on Pettner at the time of the accident.
