Jackson Greenwaldt threw three first-half touchdown passes and ran for another after halftime as the Knights displayed an overpowering, 433-yard performance on offense. Greenwaldt, who finished 10-for-13 for 153 yards, hit Isaiah Weston on scoring strikes of 42 and 30 yards in the first two quarters, then ran for a 22-yard TD in the third. Senior tailback Jordan Joseph added two touchdowns of his own — one receiving, one rushing. The game marked the Buffalo coaching debut of former Vikings quarterback Todd Bouman.

Key of the game: The Knights' offense systematically picked apart the Buffalo defense in the first half, racking up 268 total yards with a balanced approach (115 rushing yards, 153 through the air). They scored on four of their five first-half possessions.

Quote: "We were confident with what we'd done all fall and came out firing. It's nice to be successful right off the bat." — Greenwaldt on his offense's performance.

One thing to know: The Knights were equally as dominant on defense. They held Buffalo to only 145 total yards, and senior safety Jacob Moran had two interceptions.
