MILWAUKEE — More than 100 people demonstrating over a Missouri teen fatally shot by a police officer staged a sit-in at a Milwaukee courthouse.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/1q43e3h ) the racially diverse group had rallied Friday at Red Arrow Park in solidarity with the family of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old black male who was shot by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri.

After the rally concluded, the demonstrators entered the Municipal Court building, where they staged impromptu sit-in.

It was the second rally this week at the park concerning the Brown case, which has triggered a national conversation on race relations and police tactics. The demonstration also brought out supporters of an unarmed mentally ill man who was shot by a Milwaukee police officer at the park in April.
