lynx gameday

7 P.M. VS. TULSA • TARGET CENTER • FSN PLUS, 106.1-FM

Lynx update: The Lynx finish the regular season with their third back-to-back. The good news is that the team's playoff position is locked up, and there will be a four-day gap between this regular-season finale and the start of the playoffs. Still, it remains to be seen how much coach Cheryl Reeve will play her regulars in a game that means little. The team would appear to need all the rest it can get. The Lynx are 4-0 vs. Tulsa this season, but three of those games were decided by nine points or fewer. F Maya Moore has averaged 35.8 points and 9.0 rebounds vs. Tulsa this season. Her 12 games with 30 points or more are a single-season league record.

Shock update: Tulsa has lost four of six games after a 92-76 loss at Atlanta on Friday. The Shock was the WNBA's second-highest scoring team (81.91 ppg) going into Friday — ahead of the Lynx by only .03 points — but has struggled mightily on defense. Tulsa is last in the league in points allowed (83.1 per game) and second-to-last in opponents' field-goal percentage (46.9 percent). Second-year guard Skylar Diggins is one of the most improved players in the league. She is second in the league in scoring at 20.3 ppg and had a team-high 24 points vs. the Dream. G Odyessy Sims, who scored 23 points Friday, is averaging 16.1 points per game and F Glory Johnson 15.0. The 6-3 Johnson also averages 9.5 rebounds, third most in the league.
