One person is dead after a car drove off Hwy. 100 in Edina during Wednesday evening's rush hour, the State Patrol said.
The sedan was westbound on 100 at W. 77th Street when it hit the guardrail twice, went off the road, up a hill and hit the concrete side of a bridge, the patrol said.
The driver's identity was not released. It is expected to be made public Thursday morning, according to the State Patrol. There were no passengers.
The single-car accident involving the 2009 Audi A8 was reported just after 5:30 p.m. Edina police assisted troopers at the scene.
