A rash of crashes in the past 45 minutes has turned the Tuesday commute into nightmare for many commuters.

A rollover crash involving a semitrailer truck and a car has the ramp from northbound 35W to downtown Minneapolis reduced to a single lane. That has traffic jammed from 50th Street and the delays are growing.

A pair of crashes on southbound 35E has northeast metro commuters waiting in line. The first mishap is at County Road H2 and there's another ahead at County Road 96.

An earlier motorcycle crash and road work on eastbound 94 at Huron Blvd. has traffic gridlocked back to I-394 in Minneapolis. Eastbound 394 is also starting to stack up just west of Penn Avenue.

Northbound Hwy. 100 is getting sluggish from Benton Avenue up to 394 while eastbound Hwy. 212 is starting to recover now that a crash at Mitchell Road has been removed from the left lane.

Overall, it's an ugly drive out there just about everywhere.
