In west-central Minnesota, a westbound SUV on Hwy. 40 east of Milan veered onto the shoulder about 6:40 a.m. Monday and fatally struck Larry A. Bollman, 58, of Paynesville, Minn., after he parked his motorcycle on the shoulder, according to the State Patrol. The SUV driver, Erik A. Lindstrand, 24, of Arlington, Minn., was not hurt.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday, Kevin L. Bass., 50, of Ellendale, Minn., crashed his motorcycle on a highway east of New Richland in southern Minnesota, the patrol said. Bass was heading east on Hwy. 30 near County Road 63, crossed over the opposite lane and crashed along the side of the road, according to the patrol. He was not wearing a helmet, the patrol said.

Still pending is the identification of a 37-year-old motorcyclist from Fridley who died when he hit a traffic pole along northbound East River Road at Interstate 694 about 2:30 a.m. Monday, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
