An employee picking up trash on a trail at Soudan Underground Mine State Park in northern Minnesota was missing for many hours until she was found in the middle of the night, a bit cold but fine.

Adrienne De Vries, 76, of Soudan, turned up about 3 a.m. Thursday about 3 miles from the visitor center, where she first set out on her cleanup duties Tuesday, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

When De Vries didn't return by the end of her shift at 6 p.m., co-workers looked for her and then notified authorities.

De Vries was located by county rescue personnel "in good condition, cold and uninjured," a Sheriff's Office statement said. She went to the Ely Hospital to be checked out.
