Good morning!

Was told during All-Star festivities that the Twins have shuffled their rotation for the series against the Rays. Kyle Gibson will start on Friday as originally planned, but Phil Hughes will start on Saturday while Kevin Correia will start on Sunday. Correia was in front of Hughes originally.

Who will round out the rotation? Yohan Pino is pitching tonight for Class AAA Rochester. If he remains on a normal five-day schedule, he can be called up to start for the Twins on Tuesday, That means Kris Johnson will likely start on Monday.

Where's Trevor May, you say? May was supposed to start on Sunday in his first game back after recovering from a right calf strain. That game was rained out. I'm guessing here that the Twins needed Pino to start tonight so he could get on line for Tuesday's start. May has not appeared in a game since June 21, so it makes sense that the Twins would want him to make another start for the Red Wings before considering a call up.

I haven't been told anything about a potential call up for May, but it's time he gets serious consideration with Ricky Nolasco on the disabled list.

Danny Santana (left knee bone bruise)  was 0-for-4 on Wednesday while playing shortstop for Class A Fort Myers during a rehabilitation stint and is 0-for-7 in two games since joining the Miracle. He's scheduled to play at least one more game there before the Twins decide whether to activate him off the disabled list.

Byron Buxton, by the way, had a good game. And Adam Brett Walker hit his 20th homer of the season.
