This was a memorable All-Star start and finish for Jeter Tuesday night at Target Field — with a different kind of walk-off for the Yankees shortstop in his 14th and final All-Star Game.
Leave it to No. 2 to double to the right-field corner in his first at-bat on the second pitch of the game — a pitch Adam Wainwright seemed to admit to grooving when he met the media shortly after being taken out, though he later tried to back away from the comment after the game — and go 2-for-2 in his last Midsummer Classic as the AL beat the NL, 5-3.
