Duluth native Bob Davidson will serve as the second base umpire for the All-Star Game at Target Field.

Davidson became a full-time National League umpire in 1983 until 1999, when he and more than 50 fellow umpires resigned during negotiations for a new labor agreement. He started again in the minor leagues four years later and was brought back as a major league umpire in 2007.

Davidson, 61, has more than 25 years of experience. In 2010 he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he was an outfielder for two seasons before leaving school to begin his umpiring career.
