SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Buying lottery tickets every day for 26 years has finally paid off for a Sheboygan man.

Fifty-two-year-old Dave Resnick has claimed a $1 million Wisconsin Lottery Powerball prize. After taxes, he'll keep $673,500 in prize money.

Sheboygan Press Media ( ) reports Resnick told a news conference Monday that he kept saying he'd get lucky one of these days — and he got lucky.

Resnick matched the first five numbers in Wednesday's drawing to win the $1 million prize. He plans to help put his daughter through college.

The news conference was held at a Sheboygan Q Mart where Resnick bought his winning ticket. It was the second time in a month that a Q Mart in Sheboygan County sold a winning $1 million Powerball ticket. The first was in Kohler.
