The Twins have decided to place Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list because of a left knee bone bruise. Santana was injured on Wednesday while running between first and second base.
To replace Santana on the roster, the Twins have called Johan Pino back from Class AAA Rochester - well, he never got there. Pino was sent down when the Twins called up Jorge Polanco (as cover for Santana). The rule is that Pino has to remain in the minors for at least 10 days, unless there is an injury. And there is.
So we know who is starting in Pino's vacated spot in the rotation - Pino.
Just getting settled in Arlington after a little delay getting out of LAX. Will check by later from the park,
