Maya Rudolph, Craig Robinson and Kristen Bell in a scene from “The Maya Rudolph Show.”

TV picks for May 19:  "The Goonies,” "The Bachelorette,” "The Maya Rudolph Show”

Good enough

News that there might be a sequel to “The Goonies” has us pining to re-watch the 1985 original, if only to groove to Cyndi Lauper’s excellent theme song. Bonus points to anyone who has played the 1987 video “The Goonies II.” 7:30 p.m. ABC Family

The dating game

Andi Dorfman is the headliner for the 10th season of “The Bachelorette,” the series that has about as much chance of finding true love as I do on the coffee run to Starbucks — next to nil. In the premiere, Dorfman whittles her choices from 25 to 19. 8:30 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Variety, the spice of life

When I was growing up, variety shows were as common on TV as singing competitions are today. Is it time for a comeback? If so, I’m betting on “The Maya Rudolph Show,” a golden opportunity for the multitalented “SNL” veteran to show off her skills with some help from Andy Samberg, Sean Hayes and Kristen Bell. Based solely on her track record, I’ve got every reason to believe that Rudolph is about to make a mighty splash in the prime-time pool. 9:01 p.m. Monday, KARE, Ch. 11.
