Game 3 recap

Star Tribune’s three stars

1. Ilya Bryzgalov, Wild: The veteran goalie earned his first victory of the postseason with a 19-save shutout.

2. Erik Haula, Wild: Haula scored the game-winning goal, taking a slick saucer pass from Justin Fontaine early in the third period and beating Chicago goalie Corey Crawford.

3. Mikael Granlund, Wild: After fooling Crawford on a backhand shot for the Wild’s second goal, Granlund added an empty-netter.

Turning point

The Wild got goals 2 minutes, 37 seconds apart from Haula and Granlund early in the third period, and it only seemed to get better from there. Chicago tried to put on pressure, but couldn’t kill any of Minnesota’s momentum.
