MARCH 10

Suspicious papers. Fliers urging residents to be vigilant about reporting UFOs were left on doorsteps in the 13000 block of Europa Court. The fliers had what appeared to be a federal agency logo on them.

Ignition interlock violation. A driver restricted to driving a vehicle with an ignition interlock system was cited for driving one without one in the area of 170th Street and Henna Avenue.

MARCH 16

Suspicious findings. While on routine patrol a deputy observed several vehicles in the Kersten's Auto Sales lot, 14057 Forest Blvd., with their gas tank doors opened. An employee told the officer the doors were left open intentionally as a way to identify which vehicles need gas.

LAKELAND

MARCH 15

Public assist. A vehicle parked in the back lot of the Bungalow Inn, 1151 Rivercrest Road, was reported obstructing traffic. Authorities contacted the owner, who was an employee of the Bungalow.

Animal complaint. A resident in the 600 block of Wildwood Road complained that a skunk keeps coming onto her property and spraying.

OAKDALE

MARCH 9

Check welfare. An officer was dispatched to a bus stop in the 6500 block of 15th Street on a report of a juvenile who had been there for more than an hour. The juvenile told the officer she was texting friends using the Wi-Fi in the area because she didn't have it at home. Her sister picked her up.

MARCH 13

Road hazard. Two juvenile males were reported riding skateboards in the middle of the road in the area of 10th Street and Hadley Avenue. An officer made contact with a juvenile carrying a skateboard in the area who admitted riding on the shoulder but not in the street. He was advised of the complaint and agreed to stay out of the street.

MARCH 14

Identity theft. Police received a call from a man who said he received a letter from the IRS stating there were some mistakes on his return. The man said he hadn't filed his taxes yet. He was given an ID theft brochure and advised to check his credit report.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

MARCH 15

Suspicious activity. A man who was overseas told authorities he saw people walking around his home on webcam and nobody should be there. A deputy checked the residence and it was unoccupied although someone taking care of it stopped by and said the owner's stepdaughter had been there recently.

WOODBURY

MARCH 10

Animal assist. An officer helped to safety a Labrador that had fallen off a retaining wall into deep snow in the 2600 block of Brittany Lane.

MARCH 11

Suspicious activity. Someone in the 7400 block of Courtly Road thought it was suspicious when four vehicles parked in a row on the street and the occupants gathered in one of the vehicles. An officer made contact with the group in the car who said they were conducting a work meeting. The information was confirmed and all parties were polite. The group moved the vehicles to a nearby parking lot.

MARCH 13

Animal concern. A homeowner in the 8300 block of Afton Road called police after catching a raccoon in a live trap and he was wondering what to do with it. An officer advised he'd need to contact a private organization or remove the animal himself.
