Fair Game

Opening: Jeremiah Gamble, the songwriter/playwright behind Theater for the Thirsty, brings a new play to Yellow Tree in Osseo. Gamble has pitted an odd gaggle of folks against one another in a state fair contest The question of this comedy is whether they will tear each other apart or turn the tables and learn that life isn't always about winning. Potatoes of August

Opening: Four retirees are confronted by a sack of potatoes, and these potatoes have a few things to say about the metaphysical makeup of the universe. The play, by Sibyl Kempson, a member of Elevator Repair Service, drew good notices in New York for its imagination and skewed vision. Red Eye staged Kempson's "Ich, Kűrbisgeist" last fall.
