Tough day at work

Anyone who has seen "Office Space" knows director Mike Judge can mine great laughs out of workplace politics. He's at it again with "Silicon Valley," a very smart new sitcom partly based on Judge's stint as a Silicon Valley engineer in the late '80s. You don't have to know a lot about technology to appreciate the crew of horrible bosses who make life nearly impossible for anyone trying to get anything done. The only thing sweeter would be a cameo from Beavis and Butt-head. 9 p.m. Sunday, HBO

The queen of comedy

Is it possible that we're blessed with the presence of the funniest woman in the history of television? Julia Louis-Dreyfus makes a strong case for herself in another side-splitting season of "Veep," the series that's almost as hilarious as an afternoon of C-SPAN. This time around, her character, Selina Meyer, is positioning herself for a presidential run. Suffice it to say, very little goes well. 9:30 p.m. Sunday, HBO

Catch him if you can

Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen are a little too glad all over in the two-hour documentary "The Dave Clark Five and Beyond." Could it be because the writer and director is none other than Clark himself? The musician deserves his props and the '60s footage is great, but the film could use less praise and more objectivity. 7 p.m. Tuesday, TPT, Ch. 2

Swan song

There's no compelling reason to watch "Two and a Half Men" these days (actually, was there ever?), but it might be fun to see Ashton Kutcher make goo-goo eyes with guest star Mila Kunis, his real-life fiancée. The only thing that could make this better is if Demi Moore stops by to borrow a cup of sugar. 8 p.m. Thursday, WCCO, Ch. 4
