Anybody who was late for work could not blame traffic. Things zipped along on major arteries this morning as traffic volumes were on the light side and crashes were few and far between.

An early morning robbery at a Super America in Fridley had streets shut down in the vicinity of 57th and University Avenues around 6 a.m. That cleared before 7 a.m.

Drivers on Hwy. 13 encountered minor traffic jams from Washburn Avenue to 35W due to single lane road work in the area.

Northstar riders who took the first trip into Minneapolis and the reverse trip back to Big Lake from Minneapolis had an inconvenience. The trips were canceled due to heavy freight traffic. Buses filled in. All other trips ran as scheduled.

The evening commute might be a little tricky as the monster spring snow storm moves in. Let's hope it holds off until commuters get home.

I'll be here tomorrow morning with your live traffic reports. Plan on leaving extra early as roads likely will be in a lot worse shape than they were today.
