A pickup truck carrying three teens rolled off an icy road late Thursday in Blue Earth, Minn., killing the 16-year-old driver.

The 2003 Ford Ranger rolled into a ditch about 10 p.m., killing Ethan R. Rorman, the State Patrol said.

Also in the truck were 15-year-old passengers Logan P. Jahnke, whose injury was not life-threatening, and Christopher J. Sanders, who had no apparent injury, according to the patrol.

All were from Blue Earth. Rorman was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said, while the others were belted in. No alcohol was detected, according to the patrol.

The accident happened just west of Hwy. 169 and south of the Blue Earth River. According to the patrol, the pickup was heading west on Leland Parkway when it went off the road near Hood Street and rolled into the ditch.
