Gophers forwards Hannah Brandt and Rachel Bona were among 10 finalists named Thursday for the Patty Kazmaier Award, given annually to the nation's top women's hockey player.

Brandt, a sophomore from Hill Murray, is tied for first in the nation with 55 points (19 goals 36 assists). Bona, a junior from Coon Rapids, ranks third nationally with 52 points (20 goals, 32 assists).

The top three finalists will be announced March 6. Last year, all three finalists were Gophers — Amanda Kessel, Megan Bozek and Noora Raty — with Kessel named the eventual winner.
