Officials are searching for a felon who fled the Challenge Incarceration Program in Willow River, Minn., on Tuesday night.

Richard James O'Reilly, 50, walked away from the program -- an intensive boot camp intended for nonviolent offenders -- at 8:30 p.m., the Minnesota Department of Corrections said Wednesday. He was incarcerated for counterfeiting and fraud and has been in the program in east-central Minnesota since November, the department said.

O'Reilly is 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair. He was last seen with a shaved head.

"Citizens should not attempt to confront O'Reilly and should call 911 if he is spotted," the department said.
