- February 22, 2014 - 9:46 PM
President Obama will speak at Union Depot in St. Paul on Wednesday when he visits the Twin Cities to talk about the economy, according to a source.
Obama will focus on transportation and transit issues at the depot, which recently returned to service as a 21st-century regional transit hub after being restored to its 1920s-era elegance.
Union Depot provides service for Metro Transit, Jefferson Lines, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority and Megabus. Obama’s trip to the Twin Cities will be his first to Minnesota since last February. During his recent travels across the country, he has been pitching the economic plans he spelled out in his State of the Union address.
Visit details are expected to be announced in a few days.
