Police discovered a man's body inside a north Minneapolis residence early Thursday morning.
Police responded to reports of a shooting at the 2000 block of Hillside Avenue N. around 2:25 a.m.
Police spokesman John Elder said the man "apparently died of gunshot wounds," but that the medical examiner would make the official determination.
Police do not believe the shooting was a random act, Elder told the Star Tribune. No one has been taken into custody.
Police were still on the scene of the shooting as of 4 a.m. No further details were available.
