Accenture named Ellyn Shook chief human resources officer, effective March 1. Shook joined Accenture in 1988. She serves on the board for Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest and on the advisory board of the Women in Business at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

Deluxe Corp., Shoreview, named Amanda Brinkman chief brand and communications officer. Brinkman was a vice president for Allianz and has held leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group and Fallon. She is a Winona State University graduate and serves on the board for Make-A-Wish Foundation Minnesota Chapter and Children's Cancer Research Fund.

Securian Financial Group, St. Paul, named Theodore Schmelzle assistant general counsel and chief privacy officer. Schmelzle joined Securian in 1996 as an intern and most recently was senior council.

Moving up

Andersen Corp., Bayport, named Al Worthing vice president of sales and marketing for the Silver Line division. Worthing was the director of enterprise sales for the Andersen division.

Nu-Tek Food Science, Minnetonka, named Dave Hickey chief customer officer. Hickey was the senior vice president of sales and marketing and has worked for David Morton Food Marketing and Signature Foods. Nu-Tek Food Science also named Brian Boor senior vice president of sales and business administration. Boor was vice president of global sales and customer operations for Olam International's spices and vegetable ingredients unit.

Haberman, Minneapolis, named Jesse Ross director of digital technologies. Ross was senior developer and director of development at Sevnthsin. He has worked for MRM Worldwide and is a graduate of the College of Visual Arts.

Nilan Johnson Lewis, Minneapolis, named Gregory Bromen and Andrew Sveen shareholders.

Cresa Minneapolis named Suzanne Grimm principal.

On the move

Marks Group Wealth Management, Minnetonka, named Nick Slettum lead trader. Slettum was work leader in trade operations for Piper Jaffray since 2005 and joined U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray in 2000.

Biothera, Eagan, named Peter Maimonis vice president of biomarker development. Maimonis was a consultant for BioSciences International and has worked for Decision Biomarkers, Bayer Health Care and Chiron Diagnostics.

Watermark Learning, Edina, named Vicki James director of business analysis. James was an independent consultant for Microsoft and has worked for CodeSmart and Washington state's Office of Financial Management.

Lifeworks Services, Eagan, named John Cobb vice president of human resources. Cobb was the director of human resources at Thermo King North America.
