Twins' spring Non-roster Invitees

Pitchers (7)

• Sean Gilmartin, Matt Hoffman, Aaron Thompson, Deolis Guerra, Alex Meyer, Lester Oliveros, Yohan Pino.

• Meyer, obtained from Washington before last season for Denard Span, will get a shot to win a spot in the rotation. Gilmartin, obtained from Atlanta this winter for Ryan Doumit, is a former first-round pick and will get a good look. Guerra missed most of last season with a blood clot and is the last player remaining from the Johan Santana deal with the Mets.

Catchers (4)

• Kyle Knudson, Matt Koch, Dan Rohlfing, Stuart Turner.

• All nonroster catchers are long shots, in camp primarily to handle the heavy workload from having a lot of pitchers. Knudson is a former Gopher, Turner a third-round pick last season.

Infielders (6)

• Jason Bartlett, James Beresford, Doug Bernier, Deibinson Romero, Miguel Sano, Brandon Waring.

• The much-heralded Sano will be in his first big-league camp and will get a look. Ex-Twin Bartlett has a shot not only to win a spot, but to start.

Outfielders (6)

• Byron Buxton, Jason Kubel, Darin Mastroianni, Jermaine Mitchell, Chris Rahl, Wilkin Ramirez.

• Buxton, like Sano, is in his first major league camp. Mastroianni was a regular two years ago, but mostly injured last season. The player with the best chance to make the Opening Day roster is Kubel, who returned as a free-agent signee this offseason.
