SAUK PRAIRIE, Wis. — It's that time of year again for the annual viewing of wild bald eagles in south central Wisconsin.

The event includes an eagle release on the Wisconsin River by the Raptor Education Group, Inc., which is based in Antigo and cares for injured or orphaned birds. They've done it for the last 27 years.

The event includes bus tours that canvass the area and look for spots to view bald eagles. There's also a live birds of prey show, speakers, exhibits and a children's show.

The event is called "Bald Eagle Watching Days" and it's held Jan. 17 and Jan. 18 in Sauk Prairie and Prairie du Sac.
