T.C. ROBINSON • Spring Lake Park • basketball

Strange as it might seem, the senior point guard battled mixed feelings as he drained three-pointer after three-pointer in the second half of the Panthers' 81-69 victory over St. Michael-Albertville.

On one hand, Robinson simply couldn't miss, tying a school record with nine treys while scoring 33 of his game-high 42 points after halftime.

On the other, as an avowed team-first player, he worried about what his teammates might think as he continued to shoot.

"That's exactly what went through my mind," he said. "I've been raised to think of the team first. But it wasn't just me. I had the hot hand but the rest of the team was really playing well and moving the ball. I couldn't have done it without them."

Robinson's big game capped a stellar week in which he led the Panthers to three victories. He scored 87 points, including a three-point play with seven seconds left in a 61-59 victory over Totino-Grace.

"It was a fun week," said Robinson, whose initials stand for Tavaris Charles. "It makes it easy to enjoy the Christmas break."
