LOS ANGELES — A juror helping decide the ownership of an Andy Warhol portrait of Farrah Fawcett says there is disagreement among the panel and he doesn't know how long it will take to reach a verdict.
The juror was seeking a daylong break in deliberations for personal business but agreed to stay on the panel.
He told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William MacLaughlin on Wednesday that "there seems to be a standstill" in the deliberations. The panel of six men and six women has been deliberating for less than 10 hours.
The jury is being asked to determine whether Oscar-nominee Ryan O'Neal owns the portrait, or whether it belongs to the University of Texas at Austin.
Fawcett left all her artwork to the school upon her death in June 2009.
O'Neal says Warhol gave him the portrait.
