TOWN OF TRENTON, Wis. — A man who drove his all-terrain vehicle into open water on Beaver Dam Lake was pulled to safety over the weekend.

Dodge County sheriff's officials say a Fox Point police officer used a thermal imaging camera to locate the man about 3 a.m. Saturday. He was standing on his ATV, which was submerged, and trying to keep his head above water.

The officer and two sheriff's deputies used a roped flotation device to pull the man out of the water. He was taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
