Union up­sets St. Cloud State

• UN­ION 4, ST. CLOUD STATE 1: The No. 10 Dutch­men (12-3-2) up­set the Huskies (11-2-2) at the Herb Brooks National Hock­ey Center. Union took a 2-0 lead in the first pe­riod on two pow­er play-goals 74 sec­onds a­part. Max No­vak got the first one at 15:01, Eli Lichtenwald the se­cond. Joey Benik had the only goal for the Huskies, rat­ed No. 1 this week by the USCHO.com website and No. 2 by USA Today, in the mid­dle of the se­cond pe­riod on a pow­er play. St. Cloud State had a seven-game unbeaten streak ended.

• NORTH DAKOTA 4, NORTHERN MICHIGAN 1: Luke Johnson and Dillon Simpson scored power-play goals in the second period to give UND (8-7-2) a 3-0 lead over the visiting Wildcats (6-9-2).

• WEST­ERN MICH­I­GAN 5, MIN­NE­SO­TA DULUTH 3: Colton Har­grove scored two goals to lead the Bron­cos (7-7-3, 3-4-0 NCHC) past the Bull­dogs (6-8-1, 2-5-0) at Amsoil Arena. Chase Balisy and Justin Ko­vacs each had a goal and an as­sist for the visi­tors. UMD led 2-1 af­ter the open­ing pe­riod on goals by Justin Cran­dall and Sammy Spurell, and 3-2 in the se­cond af­ter Kyle Os­ter­berg scored at 3:39.

• WIS­CON­SIN 4, COL­O­RA­DO COL­LEGE 1: Nic Kerdiles' pow­er-play goal with two seconds left in the mid­dle pe­riod was the win­ner for the No. 15 Badg­ers (7-5-1) at the Kohl Center.

• MSU MANKATO 4, ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE 1: Jean-Paul Lafontaine's power-play goal early in the third period for the Mavericks (10-7-0, 8-3-0 WCHA) broke a 1-1 tie with the host Chargers (1-16-0, 1-10-0).

• ALASKA FAIRBANKS 3, BEMIDJI STATE 3 (OT): The Beavers (5-8-6, 5-4-4 WCHA) tied for the third game in a row, this time against the visiting Nanooks (6-8-3, 3-7-1). Matt Prapavessis of Bemidji State

scored the tying goal with 1:40 left in the third period.
