TOWN OF YORKVILLE, Wis. — The Racine County Sheriff's Office says a man died in a crash on a snowy stretch of Interstate 94 in the Town of Yorkville in southeastern Wisconsin.

Lt. Daniel Klatt confirms it was weather related. It was one of at least two fatalities attributed to Sunday's storm. The other was on Interstate 43 in Milwaukee County.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office says I-94 was snow-covered and very slippery with ice present when the fatal crash happened there. The southbound lanes had to be closed and were not reopened until after 4 p.m.

It was one of around 60 crashes reported in Racine County as of 3:30 p.m., with about half of those happening on I-94, and authorities expect that number to grow as the investigations continue.
