MILWAUKEE — Snow has contributed to numerous pileups in southern Wisconsin, including a fatal rollover.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office describes conditions as extremely dangerous and slippery, with multiple pileups, including a fatal rollover on I-94 eastbound at Highway 100.

There have been so many crashes the Wisconsin State Patrol hasn't compiled a count yet. But multiple accidents have been reported Interstates 94 and 894, as well as I-39 and I-90.

Authorities are recommending no travel in Racine County, where a multiple-car pile-up required the closure of I-94 southbound. There have been multiple clusters of pileups, other accidents and cars off the road along a stretch of several miles of I-94 near Racine.

All southbound lanes on I-39 near Janesville were blocked by multiple crashes for nearly two hours before they reopened.
